Dear Foriegin stranger,

My name is Hayden and I live in a region of The United States of America called Maine.
I am 14 years old and like to swim, hunt, fish, camp, and spent time in the outdoors with my family. I am also interested in other parts of the world and I think it will be cool to hear about your life and where you are from.
In Maine we have warm summers and cold winters. In the summer I lobster fish and go to my grandparents camp on a pond. Fishing is fun but is also hard work. We have 300 traps and haul them 4-6 days out of the week. In the winter I do swimming and sometimes I ski. What types of sports do you play?
I hope to read your introductions and to blog with you some more. I think it will be very interesting to read each others post and learn how our lives are alike and different.

Sincerely,
    Hayden

  5. Hi Hayden , My name is Nicole and I live in Alberta, Canada. I'm with you on camping I love to camp. My family doesn't actually like to camp so I go with my cousins every summer at least 2 or 3 times. Last year we went to whitfish Montana and we had alot of fun swimming, Quading, Mini golfing and lots more. In september we go into the mountains (In Canada) with friends of my cousins and some of their kids are even my friends . We usually get a spot near a creek to fish or swim but usually the creeks are freezing. Some days during our trip we will go for a day long quad ride and I ride with my cousin's husband and he is super funny and fun. Where was you favourite place to camp?

  10. To answer your questions on how to lobster fish; YOu have lobster traps which have two halves. One half they enter ad get their bato and the other they go in to hide but can’t get out.
The most that you can set is 800 but because my sister and I are younger we can only have 300 traps so we fish 300 traps in our bay.
You have to tend your traps (bait and take out the lobster that you catch) twice a week. We tend 100 traps a day and go out 6 times a week. We leave the house at 4:00 in the morning and get home at 12:30. When you catch lobster there are legal guidlines. They have to be a certian size and can’t have eggs if you want to keep them. When you are done for the day you put then in you lobster car which is a float on the water that holds lobster. We sell our lobster to Maine Shell Fish and a resteraunt 15 miles away by water. Its a long trip but it gives us time to finally eat and clean the boat.
