Basketball
By: Cyrus

Ten players.
One ball.
One dream.
One court.
One game.
This is the champs

We have made it to the Champs.
With all of our players.
This is our game,
the game we play to accomplish “our” dream.
This is the game we play on our home court.

Theres two quarters left to try to win our dream.
If were we are going to be champs,
then we need to work hard on the court.
We need a sub for another player.
The ref hands the player the ball.
The ball is thrown in, to start back up the game.

We are in the last quarter in the game.
The basket didn’t count that could be the end of the dream.
A timeout is called as it goes up and in goes the ball.
Time is almost left and that shot could cost us the championship.
As our team walks off there is madness left on the court.

Timeout is over we walk back on the court.
We start back up the game.
The ball is passed in and down the court goes the players.
The ball goes up and in it counts we still might win our dream.
We might be more than runner ups we could be champs.
The other team throws up and in goes the ball.

In bounds comes the ball,
The game is focused back on he court.
The last shot goes up it is by us we are the champs.
This is the end of a hard might it was our games.
We all walk off the court.
We are all more than people we are hard and tough players.

As we all walk off the court I run back to get the game ball.
I came to the locker room to celebrate with the rest of my players.
As we are on our way home we can say we are the champs.

I like to play sports and listen/play music and I’m weird once you get to know me but there is nothing to worry about because since you don’t know me I won’t do the things that I usauly do around the people that know me. One side I have is kinda cool, its when I’m actting normal thats when I’m awesome or when I do what I’m told and not be lazy. I am in the boyscouts and we just went on a awesome canoe trip that made my day when I almost flipped my boat in the freezing cold water but I’m all good just got a sun burn on my neck that is finally gone. Well that is a little bit about me hope to hear  some about you.

Lest We Forget -Mike

Lest We Forget,
The faces and names of our soldiers.
Honor.
Devote to them our undying respect.
Willfully handing over their lives,
So that evil would not pass without a fight.

Alive and living during their fight.
Only names our future generations shall forget.
Building legacies beyond their lives.
Staring into the hollow faces of fellow soldiers.
An unspoken honor.

Again fighting for fought for honor.
Living entities of the fight.
Wishing for your respect.
Why must we make them forget?
They are soldiers,
soldiering through their lives.

Taking lives,
acknowledging opposing honor.
The bond between soldiers,
formed in the bright light of the fight.
They try never to forget.
Built upon respect.

Respect.
Earned throughout their lives.
Never and always forget.
Society siphons their honor.
Taken without one to fight.
Divinity questioned in the eyes of the soldiers.

They are our soldiers.
They live for respect.
They live beyond the lost fight.
Handing over their lives.
Giving to all, their infectious honor.
Thou who are deserving are forgotten.

Soldiers forget the lives of who we honor.
We fight to remember those they respect.
Lest We Forget.

Gorgeous Day

        Summer

I love a long summer day,
under the hot sun,
lying under a tree where it is breezy,
picking beautiful colorful flowers,
just a long peaceful
day hanging out with friends

Relaxing with friends,
on a long sunny day,
outside where its nice and peaceful,
in the blazing sun,
smelling the beautiful flowers,
on an afternoon where it’s nice and breezy

Waiting for the wind, cool and breezy,
talking with friends,
lying in  the flowers,
feeling cool on a sunny day,
lying under the sun,
on an afternoon where it is nice and peaceful

Just a long day where it is pleasant and peaceful
under the shade where it’s nice and breezy
beneath the hot sun
walking with friends
on a day
walking by flowers

All sorts of colorful flowers
where it’s peaceful
on a hot day
where it is breezy
playing with friends
in the yellow sun

Lying in the sun
with blooming flowers
laughing with friends
on a afternoon where it’s peaceful
with the wind so breezy
oh what a gorgeous day

Oh what a gorgeous day in the breezy wind surrounded by flowers
talking with friends on a peaceful day just a long sunny day under the blazing
sun listening to the birds talking and singing

My Freedom

Baseball...
written by Nathan

Most people think it’s just a ball.
how far they hit the baseball bat.
I have heard it is a plain old glove.
It’s not just a game.
Or any team.
It is my freedom.

It might be or might not be your freedom.
It is not just a ball.
Still is something more than a team.
It is the bat.
Or maybe the game.
Problem the glove.

I feel graceful with the glove.
Maybe it is all of it that feels like freedom.
It takes me some were different when I’m I the game.
Everything slows down when I hit the ball.
The ding gets me exited when I hear it from the bat.
As the pressure build up from both teams .

All weeks trying to improve there teams .
Make them faster with there glove.
Swing swifter with there bats.
To find their freedom.
To throw the ball farther.
Ever year trying to win all the games.

What I do is to have fun in the  game.
All around the world there is a team.
Now they throw the ball.
.They’re graceful with their glove.
They have touched freedom.
They hit a home run with their bat

I never hit a home run with a bat.
I have done it in a video  game.
As you can see  why baseball is my freedom.
I love joining new teams.
Maybe seeing the skill of the glove.
Or see the fast ball.

As you can see a ball, bat, and a glove is my freedom.
Good luck to your baseball teams .
Oh and  good luck at any sports but this one is my favorite games.

Wheeler

I can’t resist riding my four wheeler.
When I thrust the throttle,
I feel a roar of power,
and the burst of speed,
as I pace through the peaceful,
yet untamed wilderness.

In the wilderness,
as I putz around on my four wheeler,
I’m in a state that’s peaceful.
As I tap the throttle,
I adjust my speed,
and my trudging power.

There is pulsing power
through out the wilderness.
And the speed,
of the massive four wheeler.
It has a touchy throttle.
This is peaceful.

Within the peaceful,
there is  power.
The energy comes from the throttle.
As I plow through the wilderness,
my ferocious four wheeler,
cuts through with speed.

Though I have speed,
this time is peaceful.
The four wheeler,
I have has tremendous power.
The great wilderness,
is no match for my throttle.

When I punch the throttle,
as I feel the speed,
I blast through the wilderness.
There aren’t many times as peaceful,
as I build power
in my four wheeler.

Within the peaceful wilderness,
I hit the throttle with power
and speed home on my four wheeler.

The wind blows onto the coast
of a small town set in Down East Maine.
The sun shines on the back of a fisherman
soon to disappear.
The rocking increases on a boat
Slowly and steadily the weather worsens sending most seagoers home.

All boaters in the bay wonder to stay out or go home.
Soon they will have to decide for it is unpredictable on the rugged coast.
Waves will threaten to capsize their boats.
Beauty and danger both reside in maine.
All but two boats disappear
from the harbor that houses the two fishermen

The wind blows strong and steady on the fishermen.
One stays, one goes home.
The new-come rain makes the boat disappear
from onlookers sight that are on the shore of the coast.
The storm worsens battering the scurvy shore of Maine
The man is soon to be lost at sea, along with his boat.

The storm holds steady, pounding on the unsteady boat.
The wind jostles and rocks the ill fated fisherman,
threatening to blow him overboard in the cold seas of Maine.
His family worries and waits for him to come home.
They attempt to lookout at the coast
but they see that the storm has made it from their sight, disappear.

They think of all the possibilities, all concluding that he has disappeared.
They have faith in his steady and sturdy boat.
They hope he returns safely to the coast
the next morning, like an experienced fisherman.
They only can hope that he returns home.
they decide to wait for the next morning in Maine.

They look out on the horizon of Maine.
Now the storm has disappeared.
They see him headed home.
His family is so glad to see him and his boat.
They praise the homecoming fisherman
All is calm and a peaceful sky covers the coast.

The fear leaves the that town on coast of maine
The storm disappeared
and the fisherman along with his boat return home.

Dear Foriegin stranger,

My name is Hayden and I live in a region of The United States of America called Maine.
I am 14 years old and like to swim, hunt, fish, camp, and spent time in the outdoors with my family. I am also interested in other parts of the world and I think it will be cool to hear about your life and where you are from.
In Maine we have warm summers and cold winters. In the summer I lobster fish and go to my grandparents camp on a pond. Fishing is fun but is also hard work. We have 300 traps and haul them 4-6 days out of the week. In the winter I do swimming and sometimes I ski. What types of sports do you play?
I hope to read your introductions and to blog with you some more. I think it will be very interesting to read each others post and learn how our lives are alike and different.

Sincerely,
    Hayden
